Hello, I’m Pierre Brand, a Swiss industrial designer currently studying in Sweden. I grew up in the French–German speaking part of Switzerland and studied industrial design in Lucerne and Berlin. I’m passionate about tackling complex, multi-layered design challenges and turning them into clear, tangible prototypes and products. I love bringing ideas to life through hands-on experimentation. When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me at the piano or in a game of Ping-Pong 🏓

At Umeå Institute of Design, I developed my design practice through an internationally recognized master’s program focused on future-oriented product development. During my studies, I worked on projects in collaboration with Electrolux, Einride, Cisco, and Laerdal Medical, and I am currently writing my master’s thesis in collaboration with Logitech.

During my internship at Huawei, I worked on a wide range of products, from consumer goods to EV charging stations. In close collaboration with teams in China, I gained experience in a fast-paced international environment and had the opportunity to lead projects. The role also strengthened my ability to work across disciplines and coordinate effectively with designers and other stakeholders under tight deadlines.

At Inuru, I worked closely with clients to turn challenges into product opportunities, integrating printed OLED technology into concepts across medical, fashion, wearables, and consumer goods. My role included prototype development, electrical circuit design, technical drawings for manufacturing, and product ideation. I also helped shape a more user-centered design approach to improve the interaction quality of Inuru’s products.
